Es ist fast soweit. Meine seit über einem Jahr laufenden Vorbereitungen sind nun fast alle abgeschlossen, mein Fahrrad schon lange auf dem Weg und meine Sachen bis auf ein paar letzte Kleinigkeiten gepackt. Ich bin ziemlich fertig, freue mich aber auch sehr. Vor allem bin ich froh, dass der Blog endlich so weit steht.

It's nearly done. After a long year of planing, working and other preparations nearly everything is done, packed and prepared. I'm quite exhausted, but really excited. Everything worked out and my blog is finaly set up.

Die Idee zur Tour hatten Matthias und ich vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr, damals wollte er mich noch überreden, die Pan Americana komplett mit einem Tandem runterzugondeln. Daher hier der "erste" Entwurf zur Tour als kleine Reminiszenz. Eine Tourbeschreibung, wie ich jetzt wirklich fahre, gibts die Tage, wenn ich die Zeit dafür finde.

The idea to do this trip came when my friend Matthias came to me with this even more crazy idea to do the hole Pan Americana by tamdem bicycle. The map I posted above is one of the first bits in my preparations folder which gave me a vague idea what the hell I'm going to do. A detailed plan, which places I'm going to visit gets posted as soon I have the time to do so.
